By May, we old subscribers will begin paying $9.99 for Netflix each month. And the truth is it is very possible the fee would still increase. A bulk number of Netflix’s longtime customers by May will have to come to terms with the increment in their monthly subscriptions to that price for the month of May. This is actually an added $2 from the those easy going days price when we enjoyed fees at $7.99.
New subscribers have been paying this new fee of $9.99 since October. But then Netflix has promised us existing customers that we would not be charged this new fee until the next two years. This means had this new changes not come into play, old subscribers would have been paying $7.99 till 2017. Netflix has revealed that it will distribute email to customers to get a hit from this hike since most old subscribers are already looking till next year before they start paying the $9.99.
However if you are a subscriber who had subscribed after May 2014 — and you have been already been paying $8.99 each month, then you don’t have to pay $9.99 till it gets to October. This might all be confusing, to get your head a clearer picture, simply go over to the Netflix website and navigate to the account settings, there you can have a view of a message “Your price plan is guaranteed until _____”. This tells you actually when you get affected with a pay increment. So you will start paying the new fees from then.
