Uncommon Traits Of Self-Made Billionaires (Part 2)

I will continue the rest of the uncommon traits of self made billionaires (part 1) that I initiated in my previous post.

6.Billionaires are driven by passion

“Without passion, you don’t have energy. Without energy, you have nothing.” – Warren Buffett

Try listening to billionaires when they speak, you will sense passion in their speech. Passion keeps the billionaire going despite their wealth. Billionaires are passionate with their calling, and they pursue their calling vigorously.

“Passion is what drives me forward. Passion is what makes me go to bed at 2am and wake up at 6am.” – Aliko Dangote; the richest black man in the world

7. Billionaires believe in themselves.

“Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember you can achieve.” – Mary Kay Ash

Belief is a great factor that differentiates an ordinary or mere person from a billionaire. One of the great uncommon traits of billionaires is that they strongly believe in themselves and their goals. One of the great features of billionaires is that they take charge of their destiny; they don’t leave it or assume it to fate.

“You are nuts and you should be proud of it. Stick with what you believe in.” – Trip Hawkins

8. Billionaires are persistent

“When you reach an obstacle, turn it into an opportunity. You have the choice. You can overcome and be a winner, or you can allow it to overcome you and be a loser. The choice is yours and yours alone. Refuse to throw in the towel. Go that extra mile that failures refuse to travel. It is far better to be exhausted from success than to be rested from failure.” – Mary Kay Ash

Billionaires are tough and obstinate. Billionaires never give up, they are always pressing on even in the face of failure and difficulties. Without persistence, nothing can be achieved so says billionaires. They believe when the going gets tough and tougher, the tough should get going. With persistence, what is called the impossible can be achieved.

“Persistence is the founder and creator of all possibilities” – Olusegun Fapohunda

“Press on. Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.” – Ray Kroc

9. Billionaires are commited

“It’s my job for Oracle, the number two software company in the world; to become the number one software company in the world. My job is to build better than the competition, sell those products in the marketplace and eventually supplant Microsoft and move from being number two to number one.” – Larry Ellison

“Commitment brings you from the bottom to the top” – Olusegun Fapohunda

“I’m not afraid of turning 80 and I have lots of things to do. I don’t have time for dying.” – Ingvar Kamprad

Uncompromising commitment is another uncommon trait of billionaires. Despite the fact that billionaires are enormously wealthy, they always remain committed to their goals and calling. An example of an uncompromising commitment is that of Warren Buffet and Ingvar Kamprad, these two make a pledge to their company to be committed until death.

“You are a result of your commitment” – Olusegun Fapohunda

“I’m not afraid of turning 80 and I have lots of things to do. I don’t have time for dying.” – Ingvar Kamprad

10. Billionaires learn from mistakes made

“Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes. It’s best to admit them quickly and get on with improving your other innovations.” – Steve Jobs

Man is prone to making mistakes. Billionaires are not separate being, billionaires are likewise men and they often make mistakes. Many are failure because they don’t learn from the mistakes they made; some people even make repeated mistakes which sometimes lead to failure. In billionaire’s case, they learn and correct their failures then move on. Billionaires are known to be tough, they don’t accept defeat, and they are not discouraged by mistakes. Instead, they use them as stepping stones into riches and success. Billionaires fail but never quit.

“Failure is just a resting place. It is an opportunity to begin again more intelligently.” – Henry Ford

I will continue and finish the rest of the uncommon traits of self made billionaires in my next post. Hope you find this short piece useful? If yes, try sharing this with your friends on Facebook and Twitter.
