Toyota Camry
Toyota Camry is a series of cars that is designed by the Japanese company known as Toyota. Camry originated from a Japanese word known as Kanmuri which translates to “crown”. Although starting with a little sedan, the Toyota Camry has gotten to its eight-generation with more models having more sophisticated designs and compartments. The latest model is the XV70. In Nigeria, there are different models of Toyota Camry and they are used both by the rich and even people in the middle class.
Different models come with different price tags so that those who cannot afford more expensive models can go for the cheaper ones. The vehicle is efficient in fuel usage as a result it suits the Nigerian economy. The vehicle is also not costly to maintain and one can turn on the air conditioner without the fear of having to waste fuel.
Honda Accord
This is another vehicle that is very popular in Nigeria. The Honda Accord is a series of cars which is a product of Honda – a car manufacturing company in Japan. If you drive through almost any street or road in Nigeria, there’s no way you won’t come across a Honda Accord vehicle. Much like the Toyota Camry, the Honda Accord started with a saloon model, however, recent advancements in technology has seen the new models to be a lot bigger and having better styled covers.
The tenth generation of the Honda Accord was released just last year in July and it has been in sales since. The reason why the Accord can be seen almost anywhere in the country is because its earlier sedan models are affordable and can be purchased by anyone in the middle class and also, the vehicle’s spare parts can be found almost anywhere.
Toyota Avalon
The Toyota Avalon is a sedan produced by Toyota in the United States and more models have been produced over the years. Avalon was meant to be a replacement for Toyota Cressida whose production was ended in the year 1992. Both body and chassis of the vehicle is based on the Toyota K Platform. It operates on a 3.6 L 2GR-FE V6 engine. It has anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, dual front airbags, front row side torso airbags, front and rear side curtain airbags, and a driver’s knee airbag.
The Avalon is fuel efficient and offers much comfort to those riding in it. It is not designed for fast speeds, rather it is designed for people who love comfort as much as they love riding in sedans. It is currently in its fifth generation and that was released this year.
Toyota Venza
Toyota Venza is a front-engine, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive middle-sized crossover sports utility vehicle (SUV) designed to carry up to five passengers designed by Japanese car manufacturer, Toyota in North America. The name Venza comes from a combination of Venture and Monza. The vehicle is based on the chassis of Toyota Camry. The vehicle operates on the Toyota 3.5 L 2GR-FE V6 engine or the new 2.7 L 1AR-FE I4 engine both of which function with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Venza has a vehicle stability and traction control, electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, anti-lock braking, smart stop technology and a hill-start control, tire pressure monitoring system, active head restraints for occupiers of the front row seats, 3-point seatbelts and headrests for all its seats apart from the driver’s seat. It also has airbags within it.
Honda Crosstour
Honda Crosstour was formerly named Accord Crosstour and it is a middle-sized crossover sports utility vehicle (SUV) which is manufactured by the Japanese car maker known as Honda. Crosstour is meant to be a competition for the Toyota Venza. It is powered by a 2.4 L K24A I4 engine, a 3.0 L J30A5 V6 engine (for the China model), 3.5 L J35Z V6 engine, or a 3.5 L J35Y V6. The engines are all a 4-cylinder engine and have either a 5-speed or 6-speed automatic transmission.
Crosstour is also an upgrade of the Honda Accord convenient to carry four passengers. It comes with Forward Collision and Lane Departure Warning Systems for safety and within its structure is a rear-view backup camera.
