For some time now, Samsung has not been giving yearly upgrades to its flagship phones as we have observed with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 that arrived the market in September 2015, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 coming only in March 2017 – exactly 18 months in between and as such we assume the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will only arrive in September 2018 as far as rumours go.
There are some people who expect the tablet to arrive the same time as the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 which according to rumours will be launched in early August, however, according to the reports we got from our sources, the Galaxy Tab S4 will be arriving alongside the Samsung Gear S4 smartwatch at IFA 2018.
The price for the emerging tablet should be the same as the that of the Galaxy Tab 3 or higher. The Tab 3 was priced at $599/£599 (about AU$780), and for this price, you get a stylus, the keyboard on the other hand costs much more.
We don’t know what the design of the Tab S4 will be like but we wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same as the S3’s. A few standard leaks point out that the Tab S4 could have a 2.3GHz octa-core chipset, which is without doubt going to be the Snapdragon 835 – suggesting that this device may not be that sophisticated seeing as the Snapdragon 835 is a chip from last year, nevertheless, it is a high-end chip. The device has 4GB RAM, a 10.5-inch screen with 1600 x 2560 resolution, 64GB of internal storage capacity, a rear camera of 12MPs, and a front camera of either 7MPs or 8MPs. The OS the device runs is Android 8.0 Oreo.
We also got a report that the tablet will be available in Wi-Fi only and LTE variants as well. We assume that the screen will have Super AMOLED display as most Samsung devices use this tech. It should also support HDR content like the Tab 3.
