HTC company’s U.S division President, Jason Mackenzie who has actively served for over two years as president suddenly resigns as he moves unto an executive vice president role of the Taiwanese Outfits global arm in early 2016. This sudden loss of yet another high profile personnel on HTC is alarming as this happened just five days after Claude Zellweger, HTC’S V.P of design left for Google’s Day dream VR division.
The former president, Jason Mackenzie had been with HTC for 12 years, as his last contract with Siemens was terminated in 2005 to take on the then power house growing smart phone sales division of HTC. His responsibility grew as he moved from one rank to the other, going from US sales to global and back and lastly landing himself as president, a more crucial role.Obviously, both executive sudden departure leaves a vacuum in the company’s executive team as it struggles to change from a smartphone OEM to a global player in the VR market with HTC VIVE.
The HTC U ULTRA and UPLAY, which is HTC latest smartphones were made public not long after CES, and is scheduled to be in the market come early march.
