How To Get NAFDAC Approval For Your Product In Nigeria

Many people have been sent to their early graves due to fake drugs & substandard packaged food. Most of these fake drugs are sold in chemists and open market places at cheap prices.

To stop this, the Federal Government of Nigeria through it agency National Agency for Foods, Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has put measures against some people who import or produce these harmful products that are harmful to man.

By law, NAFDAC have been authorized to register products, in Nigeria. NAFDAC also carries out inspection on imported goods in various ports, they also monitor companies that manufactured drugs, cosmetics and packaged foods in Nigeria. They do these to know if their products are safe for human consumption and to know if their production facilities are okay.

NAFDAC have gone far to get rid of fake and substandard products in Nigeria. The agency have seized and destroyed many fake drugs, bottled water, chemicals, cosmetics and foods from time to time. They have destroyed fake and substandard products worth billions of Naira.

So, if you are manufacturing a product that needs NAFDAC approval, it will be good to register it with NAFDAC to avoid sealing up your manufacturing factory and also backlist your product from being sold in Nigeria.

Food Guidelines

These Guidelines are for the interest of the General Public, and in particular, food and beverage industries in Nigeria.
