Based on default settings, WhatsApp has the custom-made WhatsApp background for chat messages. But if you’re one that doesn’t like it, you can change the background. Employ the following methods to do so.
In this example, we are making use of an iPhone, however on Android, the process is still the same.
- Open WhatsApp, and then head to Settings.
- While on the Settings page, click on Chats, and afterwards tap Chat Wallpaper.
Once you’ve so done, you’ll see three options; Wallpaper Library, Solid Colors, and Photos. Wallpaper Library is an assembly of backgrounds built in WhatsApp. Single Colors on the other hand, are simple single color backgrounds. While Photos (Gallery on Android), are a collection of photos on your phone.
- Next, you select the option you prefer and after, tap the background you want.
After you’ve done that, WhatsApp will display a preview of the wallpaper you chose, if you like it, tap the “Set” button, but if not you can go for another one. The background you Set becomes the background for all your chats.
