Intel in partnership with Microsoft, Dell, HP, and Lenovo to make 5G laptops

At the close of the next year, there is a very high possibility that one can get a laptop which is accompanied with a 5G cellular connection. Intel made a statement that this is to be expected as they are collaborating with Microsoft, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. The aforementioned companies will be working in partnership with Intel to create PCs that have built-in 5G connections and they are to be made available “holiday 2019,” using Intel’s modems.

According to Intel, the 5G modems that they are building will support 2G, 3G, and LTE, which, all things considered is a great idea since the deployment of 5G is probably not going to be far behind. The goal is to allow for gigabit speeds.

Although not to get people’s hopes up, this announcement is best when taken lightly, as more of something to look out for although not in an evident sort of way that PCs that make use of 5G modems are only two years away from becoming a reality for better surfing time. Even though that at this time the 5G technology is closing in on us, there are still a lot things that we are not sure of, which we will provide as soon as we have more information. AT&T and Verizon had only just recently been planning on releasing their networks at the close of the year 2018, and T-Mobile is not even thinking about a rollout, not until 2019.

Qualcomm is also currently at work to put 5G modems in devices in 2019 and has stated that it is working with 18 phone companies to release products. It still is vague just how much one can be able to do whilst using the 5G network at that time. However, if you are lucky enough to be in the right location, there should be a few phones and laptops that could be able to connect.
