HTC accidentally makes U12 Plus official in advance on test site

We have gotten reports from our sources revealing that the specs as well as the design for the next flagship device of HTC have been confirmed. Our sources stated that a testing site under the company’s actual website made this confirmation. Also on that part of the website, an idea of the cost of the smartphone was also pointed out. The cost of the device being 5,888 yuan in China which is about $920 is so because of the features that come with the phone.

The specs of the device are as follows; 6GB of RAM, and the internal storage is 128GB in capacity. It also comes with Boomsound speakers, an IP68-rated water and dust resistance feature, a microSD card slot which can house a lot of videos, music, and documents as a result of its storage of about 2TB, a battery capacity of 3,500mAh and a Snapdragon chipset 845 processor. With the above mentioned specs, it seems as if the HTC U12 Plus is designed to be competition for such devices as the Samsung Galaxy S9, the iPhone X from Apple, and the Huawei P20 Pro. This therefore denotes that the U12 is not a budget model.

Turning a blind eye to the fact that this new device has no notches, the company also appears to have strayed away from the recent trends of devices in 2018 in that the U12 does not have an OLED screen. On the spec sheet of the device, the display is is a 6-inch WQHD+ (1440 x 2880) Super LCD6.

The testing website has as of now been taken down by HTC after they realized their mistake although this does not in essence change anything since the images, price and specs of the device have already become known to most of the general public. As a result, there is not much that the company will be revealing about the device during its official release.
