Just only on New Year’s day, customers according to Apple had spent over USD 144 million, this groundbreaking record beats the previous single-day record which had been equally set on Christmas Day.
Apple Inc said customers had spent money exceeding USD 1.1 billion buying apps and in-app in the two weeks which finished on Jan. 3. This builds a new record for holiday season sales.
Customers made purchases as to apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple TV costing over USD 20 billion on the App Store in 2015, Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, revealed in a statement today.
The App Store has totally delivered close to USD 40 billion for developers globally since 2008, with over one-third coming into their purse in 2015, the company disclosed.
This is a record hit. $1.1 bn is no small money. That is almost a country’s budget for crying out loud. Amazing returns for Apple really!
