No doubt HTC is a name that rings many bells in the Mobile Tech industry and they have been around for quite a while now. One thing they are known for is the fact that they make really good hardware and this time around, they pulled it off again with the HTC 10. This device packs a whole lot of goodies; and without further ado, let’s see what’s inside this beauty.
The front camera is a 5MP(1.34µm pixels) shooter with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS (which is a first.). You might be wondering: why the pixel sizes? Well this camera is what you’d call an ultrapixel camera(HTC has done a couple before).
Audio: Boom sound is back again! HTC switched out stereo speakers for two BoomSound speakers. What this means in a nutshell is that they cover a wider frequency than regular stereo speakers; coupled with the headphones that come in the box, music should sound pristine.
Build Quality: This device is built with the HTC one form factor; with capacitve buttons flanking the home button. It rocks a 5.2″ QHD display(1,440 by 2,560 pixels – in case you were wondering) with super LCD 5 and curved edge Gorilla Glass.
Storage and Software: It comes preinstalled with Android 6.0(Marshmallow) and runs on a Snapdragon 820 chipset backed by 4GB of RAM.The device come in two variants: a 32GB and 64GB option. It also has a microSD card slot if you ever need it.
Battery: It rocks a 3,000mAh battery and support quick charge 3.0 which gets you from 0 – 50 in 30 minutes… Quite impressive
Pricing: The base model(32GB version) starts at $700.
This device sure looks good on paper, but will it live up to its promises? We’ll just have to see for ourselves.
