Guaranty Trust Bank, GTB introduced *737* transfer ……… the smartest way to transfer money in Nigeria.
Business is war, staying alive in the gladiatorial arenas of a business sector is not something you do with your head more to the pillow than your hand to your chin. Competition is the referee and once its awards a penalty to your rivals against you as a businessman for the foul of not been innovative, you for sure cannot be expecting your rivals not to score a goal that could relegate you to bankruptcy. That is why regularly we hear this firm has come up with this and the other firm has come up with that. It is war, but this time they are not pulling triggers, they are pulling ideas.
Guaranty Trust Bank Plc has now introduced a mobile channel, launching the opportunity whereby GTBank customers could at their own convenience carry out monetary operations such as third party transfers to a GTBank as well as to other bank account holders in the country. This could be done through their mobile phones simply by dialing the USSD short code : *737* along with accompanying information on the amount as well as the account number (NUBAN) of the individual who is due to receive the payment.
Formats: for transfer to GTBank, dial *737*1*Amount*NUBAN ACCT NO# (e.g. *737*1*1000*1234567890#). For transfer to other banks, dial *737*2*Amount*NUBAN ACCT NO# (e.g. *737*2*1000*1234567890#). Note: You will need the last four digit of your Naira MasterCard to perfect the transaction.
This new development, the *737* transfer service is an offering which was started by the bank in the Nigerian Financial Industry that is reasonably without risks and moreover it is not technical at all plus the advantage that it is very convenient.
Speaking on the 737 transfer service, GTBank has informed the public that the 737 transfer service added to GTBank’s stockpile of wonderful services as a reinforcement of the success of the GTBank’s One Click Top-up service which provides GTBank customers with the opportunity in a manner which is recommendably efficient and convenient so that they could purchase airtime on their mobile phones via a direct medium through their GTBank account with the dialing of a simple USSD short code.

The chief executive and managing director of the bank, Mr Segun Agbaje giving more details on the move said, “We will continue to leverage technology to make banking, especially payments and transfers, faster, safer and more convenient for all our customers. He further stated that “this service addresses the electronic banking requirements of our customers, irrespective of their phone type.”
The *737* transfer service is only accessible to GTBank’s customers through their mobile phone numbers which they had registered with the bank and must have a minimum transfer limit of N1,000 as well as a daily transfer limit of N20,000.
This surely is tasty to the ears!

I have been using this code to transfer money with by registered phone number but suddenly it never work for me again.whenever I try it says: connection problems or invalid mmi code. Pls what do I do
their is need to introduce other banks, the limited bank attached to this innovation is my issue.
U are right at Mr Godwin, that’s a good one u have suggested. But I so much love this innovation. Gt for real.
welldone job bro,
please I want to know if there is any charges attached to the *737* transfer thing either with GTb-GTb or other banks.thanks
@adex, yes. N20 I think.
Please am having problems on the 4 digits numbers my atm is very active but it keep telling me that I should use an active at. What should I do
IT IS A GOOD INNOVATION. BUT THE BAD SIDE IS THE USE OF THE LAST FOUR DIGITS OF OUR ATM CARD TO FINISH UP THE TRANSACTION. IT WILL BE BETTER TO USE OUR ATM PIN INSTEAD OF THE LAST FOUR DIGITS OF OUR ATM CARD. IF SOMEONE SUCCEEDS IN STEALING OUR BAG WHICH CONTAINS BOTH OUR ATM CARD AND OUR PHONE, THEN WE ARE FINISHED.
@UKE GODWIN IGUWE, that’s a nice observation. However, the maximum that can be transferred using this service is N20,000. Moreover, you will be able to track the account of the person that receives the money in case such mishap occurred..
this is good
