Do you know just 0.3% of Android devices are running Nougat while KitKat runs on 25%

Do you know as at when November started, Android Nougat was just running actively on barely 0.3% of active Android devices. Well if you trace back, this is not so strange considering that every time a new android version is released, it takes time for the android community to fully adopt it. If you look critically at the figures, you see that it has been a couple of months we had the introduction of Android 7.0 Nougat to Nexus owners, as a much larger percentage of android users are not really using the Nexus yet. Moreover, we can’t really say phones like the LG V20 have lasted long in the market enough to notably contribute to the figures.

Also, it will cross your mind that in the chart we have above, we are yet to even see Android 7.1 take considerable territory of the Android user community. So far it been has less than 0.1% of the congregation of Android users. Though this is quite logical considering that Pixel phones have barely been up in the market for some weeks now.

The majority of Android users are still frolicking with KitKat as it commands about one fourth user adoption. When it comes to mid- to high-end phones we will be talking about the Android 6.0. Marshmallow, well it accounts for 24% of the Android market.

If you now consider the updates we are having on Nougat which could be rolled on to more Android phones before the year excuses us, we can predict a measurable leap in the number of people using Nougat by the end of the year.
