China spends $180m chasing aliens

Over the years, the idea of aliens existing is becoming less alien. It is becoming to look like the earth which we think is a unique self-contain is just a face-me-I-face-you room among planets streaming with life forms. Hollywood is making the biggest exaggeration of it, that one day aliens may eventually be swimming in elegushi beach!

China has grown pretty nosy; practically building a big nose with which they could sniff alien activities. So officially China has completed the design and installation of the biggest radio telescope in the world.

Just this weekend, the last of the telescope’s 4,450 triangular panels was appropriately slotted into the dish this weekend. This comes as concrete plans are on ground to launch the telescope in September. The Five Hundred Meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (or FAST) actually equals the size of 30 soccer fields. This magnanimous technology was built across five years costing $180 million to design.

“The telescope is of great significance for humans to explore the universe and extraterrestrial civilizations,” explained Chinese science fiction writer and Hugo Award-winner Liu Cixin in course of the final installation. “I hope scientists can make epoch-making discoveries.”

FAST rakes in twice the size of th next largest radio telescope — the 300-meter-wide Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico. One of the scientists who contributed to the design of the FAST explained that should the dish of telescope be filled with wine, it would boast sufficiency to give up to five bottles of the stuff to every of the 7 billion inhabitants of planet Earth.

Now this is amazing. Should aliens really exist with exquisite technology, I wonder why they have not come to earth since. Don’t they perceive the aroma of the Ogbono soup from naija?
